Autumn?!? Have I missed the whole year?
Boy, seriously.... where does the time go. I feel like I have blinked and missed 2005. It's been a huge year for me, the biggest since moving to Canada.
So I got married in June of course, went home to New Zealand in Sept/Oct for our honeymoon, parents 40th Anniversary and just a long over due vacation. The time at home was especially special for me as it helped me re-energize, touch base with family and friends and give me a little top up of good ole Kiwi goodness. It was truely an emotional arrival and even harder to leave, but I vow it will not be 5 years till my next visit.
We are hard at work house hunting and in fact have put an offer on a place this very weekend!! so keep fingers crossed that we might be homeowners by the end of next week. It's an older apartment, but beautifully renovated with lots of space.

An update from NZ!
Well, it's about time something got posted, huh?
Tough to post about your vacation when you're A) specifically trying to avoid computers, the internet, phones, etc., and B) trying to communicate with others via email and the like...
But at any rate, we've been on vacation in New Zealand for nearly 3 weeks now, only have a few days left.
We've seen a fair chunk of the south island, covered probably 1500 km's or so by car (I think, though I'll have to do an actual tally), visited numerous towns, seen many different types of rocks, saw a penguin, seen glaciers, watched rugby (on TV), drank lots of local stuff, eaten lots of local stuff, seen more rocks and mountains, and I've met a bunch more of Donna's family.

Updating is becoming increasingly difficult
I can't believe that I have so little time to keep this up to date anymore. I thought at first it was just going to be a few days between updates. Days turned into weeks, which turned into months *sigh*
So much has been going on since the wedding, which was now 3 months ago, where does the time go. Now we are only 12 days away from leaving on our honeymoon/parents 40th Anniversary party, I can hardly wait!!! It's been 5 and a bit years since I was home in Godzone, and I may be inclined to get down and kiss the ground once I am out of the plane... erm.. well maybe not. It's going to be fun to see family I have not seen in a longtime, and also to show my new husband a little of where I come from.

How bad are we at updating?
Yes yes, it's not very good I know. The wedding was over a month ago and I for one can hardly believe so much time has flown by. Things are going along swimingly and we are both really looking forward to our pending trip to NZ in the autumn. Anyhow, I will definately write a decent update when I am not supposed to be working ;o)

The deed is done!
So Kinetix and Kiwigirl tied the knot, and what a picture perfect day it was. Everything ran smoothly, and despite the unfortunate sprinkle of rain at the beginning of the photos, nothing spoiled what was truely an incredibly special day for us, our families and friends.
The ceremony went without a hitch and despite my initial thoughts of the church not really being my kinda thing, I have to admit it was somewhat magical being married in St Pauls, a church that has so much connection with my husbands family and now becomes our connection too.
Having my Mum, Dad, Sister and Nephew along with my dearest friends Judy and Nicky from New Zealand made the perfect day complete. I do wish more of my family could have been there, but under the circumstances I was lucky to have those that we did.

3 days and counting!!
Ok, so this is my last entry before the wedding, I cannot begin to tell you how my schedule is this week. My friends and family all arrived from NZ ok, albeit some were delayed 5 extra hours on top of the 4 hour layover in LAX...ewwwww.
I *think* I have everything, I *hope* I am organised enough, and actually I feel like having a really big nap right now instead of putting on another BBQ dinner.... however, it's my nephews 17th birthday tomorrow, and we are throwing him a do tonight, as tomorrow we have softball. Yes! if you can believe it, I am still going to go play ball in the middle of all my wedding chaos... I need the distraction ;o)

Another month gone.....
Does anyone else feel like me and wonder where the heck the first 5 months of the year went? I swear it was Christmas just last month. I suppose the busier you are, the quicker it goes and I can certainly say, I for one, have not been sitting around on my arse. I was thinking about all the things I have done, not only this year, but in the 5 years I have been in Canada as I approach my 5th anniversary on June 6th. I think as your life moves into a new chapter, you tend to reflect on the past, I know I have. Recent memories, dreams that sort of thing, but for certain I can't wait for the future with my new husband, and hopefully the pitter patter of little feet sometime in the near future. (no mothers!! I am not pregnant yet lol)

Yay for the Sader's!!!
Well looks like the boys did not let us down, and I bet it was a hell of a game. A nice swan song for Marshall and I hope he does well in the UK.
What a fantastic day here today, 30 some degrees and just a beautiful summer day, albeit unusal for May. This time next week we should be enjoying a great party with friends from NZ and my new family here in Canada, can't wait!

ooooo! first post on new site
So here we are over at KiwiCanuck. As I said, this is where I will be migrating too over the next few weeks as things get going.
Today is absolutely amazing, it's going to be 31 degrees inland, and the feeling of summer is definately here! On a day like today, there are very few cities in the world that I would rather be in, the views are spectacular. I hope it is like this a week today when my friends fly in from NZ!

Do a little dance!
......shake it all about, Waratah's look out! (of course I am pre-empting a Tah's win, so that could fall flat) Oh those Saders are just rocking..... of course I should have stuck to my first pick and taken them to win by 13+.. grrrr... bad Hurricanes! I thought you might have put up a better fight than that ;o) Sorry Jude.... *does a little victory dance*
It's Victoria Day weekend coming up here in Canada so we have Monday off, yay! Of course the weather forecast is just shite right when we need to do a ton of yard work *sigh* I suppose I won't feel so bad stuck inside doing all the inside crap that needs to be done too if it's raining outside. Off to pick up the wedding rings and marriage licence tomorrow eeek! and finishing making my wedding favours also... busy busy!
